As a reminder, the Smokin' Guns Tournament is on April 25th. If you have not signed up, please send me a PM soon. Don't worry if you don't have a team because you may join an existing one, or make one as you find members. Be sure to keep an eye on the Tourney Page and the Tourney Thread for important information.

Also, we should take some time to admire Tequila's recent work on the IOQ3 backport. Be sure to check out this thread if you want some information. So what cool things can you do with IOQ3? Well, thanks to Tequila, here are two videos:

Cool huh? Guess you will have to dig out the 3D glasses and compete in the tournament!

Thanks stuffStohl, but 99% of credits should be given to the ioQ3 team. I only merged their stuff as clean as possible to continue our Smokin' Guns enhancement with their SDK. That's all. Very Happy

I used green/red glasses attached to Benny Rebel´s book "Wildlife of Africa in 3D" Smile

@ Tequila: as far as i understood, the 3D version just runs on unix? Will there be a Windows version in the future?

Yes use the latest sparcdr binaries from his mirror site.
You'll have to set the right cvar on the console to activate 3D. Btw I'll add UI stuff for that in the next release update Wink

AMD Duron/Athlon/Athlon XP users would chose SSE
AMD64/Turion/Opteron users would chose SSE2
Intel Pentium II users would chose generic (We won't support this old of a processor, wayy too slow)
Intel Pentium III users would chose SSE
Intel Pentium IV users would chose SSE2
Intel Core Duo/Intel Core 2 Duo/i7 users would chose SSE2

They are all the same in functionality, with the only difference being math optimizations which newer processors can use to keep framerate up. Depending on your processor, you may not notice a difference. If the program crashes on launch, try a lower step of optimization (SSE2 -> SSE -> Generic)
